Midweek tasks include sourcing high-quality materials, troubleshooting design issues, and maintaining accurate production records. Quality control remains a priority throughout, with regular inspections and refinements. As the week concludes, production is finalized, future projects are planned, and team progress is reviewed. Weekends may involve special events, client consultations, and last-minute adjustments. Precision, teamwork, and efficiency are essential for success in this role.

JewlVision™ Design Architect:

A JewlVision™ Design Architect at Marks Jewelers balances creativity and technical precision throughout the week. The role involves designing 3D jewelry models using Rhino or Matrix, running 3D printers, and refining prototypes to meet casting and setting tolerances. Collaboration with the sales team, jewelers, and vendors is essential to meet customer expectations. Client consultations, job estimates, and sourcing stones are part of the daily workflow. The position requires problem-solving, quality control, and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. While Sundays and Mondays are typically days off, peak seasons may require additional work.

Greeter:

A Greeter at Marks Jewelers plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and seamless shopping experience. The week involves greeting customers warmly, providing store information, and managing guest flow. Tasks include maintaining a clean entrance, communicating wait times, and assisting with special requests. Busy days, especially Fridays and Saturdays, require managing crowds and ensuring a smooth customer experience. Sundays and Mondays are typically days off, except during peak seasons. The role demands strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle high-traffic situations while maintaining a professional and inviting presence.

Sales Associate:

A Sales Associate at Marks Jewelers has a dynamic and customer-focused week. The role involves preparing the showroom, assisting customers with luxury jewelry purchases, and building lasting client relationships. Sales strategies, client outreach, and personalized service are key daily tasks. Midweek may include training, marketing initiatives, and special order coordination. The weekends are the busiest, requiring high energy and top-tier customer service, especially for VIP clients and special events. With Mondays and Sundays off, the schedule balances demanding sales days with time to recharge. This position requires flexibility, strong communication, and a passion for luxury jewelry.

Bench Jeweler (Apprentice):

A Bench Jeweler Apprentice is designed to vet candidates for a lifelong career in jewelry manufacturing. Your first weeks will start with a thorough understanding of delicate welding, called soldering. Your hands-on training will utilize precious metal chain and mesh materials. We will show you basic techniques you will use daily throughout your career. As you continue through weeks 3-6, you will begin working on rings. Sizing, metal forging, rolling, and prong repair will complete your daily tasks. Typically, by weeks 7 and 8, you assemble jewelry from mass-produced parts. By week 10, you will be assembling solitaire engagement rings. We will culminate your training in weeks 11 and 12 by teaching you how to set a round gemstone. During the entire 12-week period, you will be expected to polish your work and refinish and electroplate jewelry as needed. If you show a knack for the craft, we will offer you a place within our ranks so that you can continue growing with us.

Experienced Bench Mechanic/Diamond Setter

A Bench Jeweler Apprentice is a paid apprenticeship designed to vet candidates for a lifelong career in jewelry manufacturing. A typical day includes thoroughly inspecting incoming work, organizing and scheduling similar jobs for efficiency, and performing high-quality manufacturing output while listening to your favorite podcast or soundtrack. Bench Mechanics and Diamond Setters work on customer pieces, addressing issues like loose stones, broken prongs, and damaged settings. The role involves precise gemstone replacement, prong rebuilding, and resetting stones using various techniques. Communication with team members and customer service ensures high standards and timely delivery. Throughout the week, tools are maintained, quality checks are completed, and all work is documented to uphold the shop’s reputation for craftsmanship and excellence.
